Jury duty in the spotlight

The State Bar will publish a new consumer education pamphlet about jury service in May, outlining citizens’ responsibilities and explaining recent changes to California rules.

Law Day (May 1) will focus this year on The American Jury: We the People in Action and highlight efforts to improve jurors’ experience while serving.

The bar also will publish an updated When You Become 18: A Survival Guide for Teenagers in May. Copies of the guide may be preordered at 18@calbar.ca.gov.
