Dr. Tucker re-appointed to bar board

Los Angeles psychologist Dorothy Tucker was re-appointed to the Board of Governors last month by Sen. Bill Lockyer. Tucker, the board member with the longest service and one of four current public members, first was named to the board in 1990 by then-Assembly Speaker Willie L. Brown. Lockyer, president pro tem of the Senate, has appointed her to another open seat.

Tucker, who ran for bar president in 1992 and 1995, has chaired the board's admissions and competence committee, the youth education task force and the governance committee. She also has served on the discipline, legal services and finance committees.
