Lockyer names two to bar units

Senate President Pro Tem Bill Lockyer, D-Hayward made two appointments to State Bar panels.

Kehar S. Johl, 67, a retired nursing home administrator from Goleta, has been appointed to the State Bar Discipline Audit Panel. The audit panel randomly reviews decisions by the barís chief trial counsel to close complaints about attorneys rather than prosecute in the State Bar Court.

John C. Hisserich, 58, of Los Angeles, has been reappointed to the State Bar Examining Committee, which examines applicants for admission to practice law in California. Hisserich, associate vice president for health affairs at the University of Southern California, has served on the committee since 1989.
