Legal Ease Version 5 offers a comprehensive client-server solution which allows everyone in a firm’s wide area network (throughout the office or around the world) to share consistent and current information, including data from the firm’s accounting system.

Legal Ease allows law firms to capture and leverage information to develop a strategic marketing database that can help track existing client activity as well as develop new business. E-mail for transcript delivery and management

PubNETics Inc., a legal software and services company, has introduced two Windows-based software applications that enable court reporters, attorneys and litigation support specialists to send, receive and view transcripts while maintaining the transcript’s integrity.

The first application, “e-transcript,” has two components: Import Wizard and Viewer. The Import Wizard allows users to quickly import ASCII files from any stenographic or word processing system. The resulting e-transcript attaches to any e-mail program and contains the Viewer, which enables the recipient to instantly view, search and print condensed or standard transcripts without any other special software. The e-transcript Import Wizard can also be used to save ASCII transcripts in HTML for Internet publishing.

The second application, “e-binder,” provides transcript management functions. For instance, the user can link an unlimited number of designated e-transcripts so they can all be searched at one time and viewed without opening each individual e-transcript.

PubNETics offered the transcripts from the Oklahoma City bombing trial of Timothy McVeigh, the first time official transcripts from a major trial were authored and distributed on the Internet (www.okcitytrial.com). For more information on e-transcript and e-binder, call 303/584-9988 or visit the company web site at www.pubnetics.com.
