|Western State University College of Law in Orange County became the
newest ABA-approved law school last month when the American Bar Association granted it
The provisional approval will permit new Western State graduates
to sit for the bar examination in all 50 states and to apply for advanced degree programs
at other ABA-approved law schools.
It will also satisfy the requirement of employers who prefer to hire only graduates of
ABA-approved law schools.
Under terms of the provisional approval, the ABA will review and monitor Western
State's academic and administrative operations annually for the next two years. If the
school receives full approval, it will be evaluated every seven years.
Western State's law school was founded 32 years ago. It has been accredited by the
