Recounts, special elections
Proposed amendments to Article II of the Rules and Regulations of the State Bar regarding board elections would change the recount rule to require the challenger to deposit the anticipated costs of the recount before it starts. A second proposal modifies the rule for filling vacancies to allow the special election for longer vacancies to be held in conjunction with the next regularly scheduled board election.
