Proposed Public Comment
Records destructionProposed record destruction policy would enable the State Bar to destroy, after
a set period of time has expired, closed files that did not lead to formal disciplinary
proceedings. Any records and files related to formal disciplinary proceedings,
files having historic or institutional significance or files related to litigation
in which the bar is a party would not be affected

Appointment of inactive members to bar entitiesProposed amendment to Article I, Sec. 4 of the Rules and Regulations of the
State Bar deletes reference to the outdated “local administrative committee”
and replaces it with the statement “committees whose membership is restricted
to active members by statute or other board policy.”
