Conflict of interest The majority of proposed revisions to the State Bar conflict of interest
code reflect either job title changes, changes in reporting responsibilities
or the deletion of defunct positions and are proposed so that the list of
designated employees may more accurately reflect the current organization

Fee waiver for militaryState Bar Rules and Regulations provide a waiver of membership fees for reservists
who were called to active duty in Iraq or Afghanistan. The rule was due to expire
Dec. 31, but the board of governors extended it to Dec. 31, 2006, on an interim
emergency basis in September. The proposal would extend the waiver through Dec.
31, 2006.
