Kudos for the judge

I am familiar with Alex Ricciardulli only through my years of reading his articles in California Defender, the journal of the California Public Defenders’ Association, when he was a public defender.  When I heard of his appointment to the L.A. bench, I was ambivalent.

I am a deputy public defender and I always looked forward to his column “The Strike Zone,” addressing issues related to the complicated and ever-changing California three strikes law.

Thankfully, Judge Ricciardulli is still writing and still clearing up the mysteries of California sentencing law (September Bar Journal MCLE self-study). Keep it up Your Honor!
