APS, Equitrac integrate products to aid customers

Advanced Productivity Software Inc. and Equitrac Corp. have integrated their products for the cost recovery market making it possible for customers to use their Equitrac cost recovery systems with APS' Online LookUp.

Online LookUp 4.0 for Windows, a software that records and controls electronic research costs, enables firms to keep an accurate account of online usage for billing clients. It can also be used for internal cost control and managing extensive "net surfing."

Prior to beginning an online search, the user must choose up to three levels of tracking information from a "valid" list. "Validation" information is stored in a log file which tracks the search.

Personal injury, wrongful termination updates

Advocate Software has released updates for Personal Injury-Economist for Windows and Wrongful Termination-Economist for Windows. The new updates include tutorials showing how the programs work.

Torrance-based Apropos Software has developed Sign-It!, a software product that allows Windows documents to be signed electronically in a high-quality, TrueType font. The software inserts personal signatures into documents, including faxes, mass mailings, forms, expense reports, memos, checks and daily correspondence.

New software makes WESTLAW searches easier

West Publishing will soon release WESTMATE 6.0 for Windows, a new graphical interface designed to make searching on WESTLAW, West's computer-assisted legal research service, easier and more efficient.

In addition to the new graphical user interface, the product includes new point-and-click context-sensitive command buttons, a project log which allows users to save searches and track research, a Windows List that allows users to quickly return to previous search results, and the ability to download data into any word-processing format.
