Pringle appoints new board member

Gregory Segall, a Los Angeles management consultant, has been appointed to the Board of Governors by State Assembly Speaker Curt Pringle.

Segall, 33, will be one of six public members on the 23-member board. He is the managing director and principal in Chrysalis Management Group, a company which works with investors to revitalize financially floundering companies.

He fills a seat vacated by Dr. Dorothy Tucker, a Los Angeles psychologist who was appointed by former Speaker Willie Brown.

Last month, Tucker was appointed to another vacant seat on the board by Sen. Bill Lockyer.

Segall said that as a specialist in corporate crisis management, he works with lawyers on a daily basis and looks forward to working with his new colleagues on the State Bar board.
