Gov. Gray Davis appointed San Francisco attorney Michael Kahn to the Commission on Judicial Performance last month.

Kahn, 50, has been senior partner and head of litigation at Folger, Levin & Kahn LLP since 1979.

The commission investigates allegations of judicial misconduct.
