Walnut Creek ethics expert Carol Langford will
become the first person ever to chair three different State Bar committees when she
becomes co-chair of the Council of Section Chairs next year.
Langford, 42, currently chairs the Law Practice Management and
Tech-nology Committee and in 1995-96 headed the Committee on Pro-fessional Respon-sibility
and Conduct (COPRAC), the bar’s ethics advisory group. The Council of Section Chairs
oversees the bar’s 16 educational sections.
An adjunct professor of ethics at both the University of San
Francisco and Hastings law schools, Langford specializes in attorney conduct, and handles
primarily legal malpractice and ethics cases.
After practicing at three different large law firms, Langford teamed
up last year with David Bell, the former ethics guru at the State Bar, forming Langford
& Bell. |
