If you are members of MCLE Compliance Group 1 [last
names begin with A — G] or Compli-ance Group 2 (last names begin with H — M) and
not part of an exempt group, you must complete 25 hours of continuing legal education by
the compliance deadline of Jan. 31, 2001. Members of Group 1 who did not complete the
previously required 36 hours by Jan. 31, 1998, have until Jan. 31, 2001, to complete a
total of 61 hours. Members of Group 2 who did not complete the previously required 36
hours by Jan. 31, 1997, also must complete 61 hours by Jan. 31, 2001.
Deadlines were adjusted by the Bar board of governors following the
California supreme court’s ruling in the warden case last year. |
