Legal services board has five vacancies

Five positions are open on the Board of Directors of Legal Services of Northern California. Four three-year terms and one incomplete three-year term position are vacant.

Applicants must be State Bar members, and practice in or be residents of Humboldt, Del Norte, Lake, Mendocino, Lassen, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Trinity, Butte, Plumas, Glenn, Tehama or Colusa counties.

Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) is a non-profit Legal Services Corporation-funded program created to provide free quality legal services in civil matters to low-income people in 23 counties of Northern California. The 36-member governing board meets five times annually in Sacramento.

Applicants must submit a letter of application and a resume to Denise Teraoka, Office of Legal Services, State Bar of California, 555 Franklin Street, San Francisco, CA 94102; 415/561-8845. The deadline is May 15.
