West Group will publish California forms

The Administrative Office of the Courts awarded West Group the contract to be the official publisher of California Judicial Council forms until 2001.

The designation of official publisher allows legal practitioners using either Legal Solutions Plus, West Group’s electronic forms product, or West’s California Judicial Council Forms in print to be confident they are using forms sanctioned by the Judicial Council.

The forms are used in jurisdictions throughout the state.

The Legal Solutions Plus form sets include civil, family, juvenile, personal injury, probate, conservatorship/guardianship and unlawful detainer forms. Specialty state and federal form modules and county forms packages also are available, in print and diskette formats.

For further information, visit West Group’s online store at www.westgroup.com/products/store or call 1-800/344-5008.

Jury instruction selectors now Windows-compatible

CALJIC Jury Instructions, for criminal cases, and BAJI Jury Instructions, for civil, have been released by West Group in a new Microsoft Windows format on CD-ROM. With the new format and platform, these litigation tools provide a more coordinated and intuitive system for selecting and preparing jury instructions for criminal and civil cases.

Both selectors provide jury instructions prepared by the Committees on Standard Jury Instructions of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County — the standard jury instructions used throughout California.

They are sold separately and cost $199 each for new subscriptions. Current subscribers to the diskette versions receive special discounts.
