Membership records
Proposed modification of Article 1, Section 1 of
the Rules and Regulations of the State Bar would keep confidential in
the bar's address change records the home addresses of current or
former judges or court commissioners, current or former members of the
legislature and attorneys currently employed by the Department of
Justice, Office of the State Public Defender, the State Bar, a county
district attorney, public defender, county counsel or lawyers for a
city attorney's office for a period of up to three years following
termination of that employment.
