Recipients of the President’s Pro Bono Service
Awards and the Loren Miller Legal Services Award will be honored at the State Bar’s
Annual Meeting during the president’s reception Sept. 14.
Chief Justice Ronald George will be the keynote speaker at the
reception, scheduled for 7-10 p.m. at the Aerospace Museum at Balboa Park in San Diego.
The Loren Miller award is the highest honor given by the bar and is
awarded annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions providing free
legal services to the needy. In addition, a lawyer from each of the bar’s nine
districts, as well as law firms from nothern and southern California, are honored each
year by the State Bar president for their pro bono contributions.
Advance ticket purchase is required at a cost of $25 per person.
