| Nominating petitions for the 2002 State Bar Board of
Governors election are now available. The last day to file the
petitions is April 1. Ballots will be mailed on April 30, and the last
day to vote will be July 1.
Elections will be held this year to replace current board members
Patrick R. Dixon, Los Angeles, District 7; James E. Herman, Santa
Barbara, District 6; Scott H. McNutt, San Francisco, District 4; Maria
D. Villa, Los Angeles, District 7; and Scott Wylie, Costa Mesa,
District 8.
Members may run for seats in their district of record in the State
Bar membership list. Terms are for three years and begin at the close
of the State Bar's Annual Meeting on Oct. 13.
